Member of the Lebanese Parliament from 1996 until 21 May 2022. During this period, he held the following positions:
- President of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants.
- Member of the Parliamentary Committee for Finance and Budget.
- Leader of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United States.
- Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Committees with the United Kingdom (UK), the European Union (EU), and Japan.
- Head of the Committee for Economic, Financial, Social, and Educational Affairs in the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, representing the Lebanese Parliament.
- Head of the Lebanese branch following the Arab Common Market within the Arab Parliamentary Assembly.
Founder and Chairman of the Kamel Jaber Cultural and Social Center in Nabatieh, South Lebanon.
- Former member of the Steering Committee of the Beirut Stock Exchange.
- Founder and President of the Association for Supporting Public Schools in the Nabatieh Region.
- Member of the Board of Trustees of the Association for Higher Education and Scientific Guidance.
- Former President of the AUB Alumni Association, UK Branch, from 1992 to 1995.
- Member of the Board of Trustees of the American Community School Beirut from 2004 to date.
He has long-standing business interests in both Lebanon and the United Kingdom.
